ShipStation is charting an international growth strategy while broadening its service offerings beyond parcel shipping. The multi-carrier platform now facilitates less-than-truckload freight through its core workflow, leveraging its parent company Thoma Bravo's acquisition of Worldwide Express Group and its freight brokerage operations. The company currently operates in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Australia, with European operations anchored by subsidiary Metapack. CEO Tom Madine identified small-and-medium businesses as the primary growth target across key markets. ShipStation manages over 400 software connections to parcel carriers globally and sees consolidation opportunity in a fragmented landscape. Geographic expansion will occur through acquisitions or partnerships mirroring current carrier relationships. Madine emphasized supply chain variations across nations while noting potential for a dominant global shipping software player. The company sees opportunity in the world's top 15-20 e-commerce markets.
