Singapore has established strategic partnerships with Google and OpenAI to strengthen its position as a global artificial intelligence hub. OpenAI will invest more than 300 million Singapore dollars into the local ecosystem and establish its first overseas AI laboratory in the city-state. Google announced a National AI Partnership focused on solving societal challenges, building an AI-ready workforce, driving enterprise innovation and creating a secure AI ecosystem, though without a specified investment figure. The agreements align with Singapore's broader national AI strategy, which commits over 1 billion Singapore dollars through 2030 to enhance public research capabilities. The city-state continues attracting major global players including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft. More than half of Singapore's workers—52 percent—already utilize AI technologies in their daily roles, reflecting rapid adoption across the workforce.
