Cargo carrier SolitAir has launched scheduled freighter operations between Dubai World Central and Tianjin Binhai International Airport, bolstering its footprint across China's manufacturing heartland.
The new route positions SolitAir to capitalize on northern China's logistics infrastructure and advanced industrial sectors including automotive, aerospace and pharmaceuticals. The service strengthens air cargo connectivity supporting the $111 billion non-oil trade relationship between China and the United Arab Emirates.
The inaugural flight carried high-priority cargo, underscoring the route's strategic value for time-critical shipments. SolitAir founder Hamdi Osman cited Tianjin's role as a regional manufacturing hub and its growing importance to Belt and Road trade corridors.
The Dubai-based carrier now operates 56 routes across 30-plus countries since launching operations in October 2024. In July, SolitAir also launched its inaugural flight to Sofia, Bulgaria, marking its first route into the European Union. SolitAir flies seven 737-800 converted freighters with 20-tonne capacity and plans to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft.
