SolitAir, a Dubai-based cargo carrier, has obtained a Third Country Operator Certificate from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. This approval expands the airline's European network reach following its earlier acquisition of Air Cargo or Mail Carrier operating rights into the European Union through Belgium's civil aviation regulator in March.
Since launching operations in October 2024, SolitAir has grown to serve 56 routes across more than 34 countries. The carrier maintains a 17-city African network anchored by a Nairobi hub and operates seven Boeing 737-800 converted freighters, each capable of carrying 20 tonnes of cargo including dangerous goods, pharmaceuticals and perishables.
The airline plans to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft operating from its Dubai World Central cargo facility, which spans 20,440 square meters.
