UAE-based cargo carrier SolitAir has enlisted OpenSky World as its sales agent in Italy, marking another step in the airline's rapid European expansion. The Dubai-headquartered operator, which launched in 2024, now serves more than 30 countries across 50-plus routes. SolitAir received EU authorization for cargo and mail services in April, clearing the path for deeper market penetration. OpenSky World will manage forwarder relationships and drive commercial activity on routes linking Europe with the Gulf, Africa and Asia. SolitAir operates a seven-aircraft fleet of Boeing 737-800 converted freighters, each with 20-tonne capacity, from its base at Al Maktoum International Airport. The partnership aims to position European freight forwarders with capacity-focused alternatives on major trade corridors. It will strengthen connectivity across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
