South Africa and Zimbabwe are advancing negotiations on a $500 million dam project to serve an industrial corridor spanning their shared border, according to project documentation. Zambia projects its economy will expand 6% in 2027, the fastest pace since 2021. The country, Africa's second-biggest copper producer, expects output to exceed 1 million tons annually.
