Sun PhuQuoc Airways Deploys Cloud-Based Cargo Platform

Sun PhuQuoc Airways has partnered with SmartKargo to implement a cloud-based air cargo management system, the carriers announced July 21. The Vietnam-based passenger airline will deploy the platform to establish a fully digitalized cargo operation capable of scaling with its expanding route network. The move comes as Sun PhuQuoc prepares to introduce Airbus A330 widebody aircraft in September 2026, significantly expanding belly cargo capacity on international routes. SmartKargo's unified cloud architecture will provide end-to-end cargo capabilities across the airline's operations. The partnership reflects Vietnam's growing role as a regional logistics hub, driven by strong export activity, e-commerce growth, and manufacturing expansion throughout Southeast Asia. According to Truong Ngo Quoc, chief information officer at Sun PhuQuoc Airways, the platform positions the carrier to compete regionally and globally while meeting operational demands across its growing network.
