Tesla has achieved volume production of its Class 8 electric Semi truck at its Nevada manufacturing facility. The Austin-based automaker confirmed this milestone in its third-quarter earnings report, disclosing an installed annual manufacturing capacity of 25,000 units at the Nevada plant. CEO Elon Musk underscored the development during Wednesday's earnings call with analysts. The top-tier Semi variant delivers 500-mile range while hauling the maximum 82,000-pound gross combination weight, consuming one-third the energy of comparable diesel tractors. This efficiency advantage translates to significant operational cost savings for fleet operators in a sector where fuel represents a major expense component. Tesla did not report specific production or delivery volumes for the quarter, nor confirm whether current output matches stated capacity.
