El Paso County Sheriff's Office investigators uncovered nearly 120 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a commercial tractor-trailer during an interdiction operation conducted July 29. The narcotics haul carries an estimated street value of approximately $4 million. Detectives also recovered $7,000 in cash and impounded the vehicle following the discovery. The Gang and Narcotics Unit connected the commercial vehicle to an ongoing criminal investigation into suspected trafficking operations. Sheriff Oscar Ugarte stated the seizure disrupted large-scale narcotics movement and reflected the department's commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks. The investigation remains ongoing with no arrests announced. Authorities declined to identify the driver, carrier, or intended destination. Officials are collaborating with local, state and federal law enforcement partners on the case.
