Law enforcement in Sealy, Texas stopped two men as they attempted to leave a business with 32,000 pounds of precious metal valued at approximately $272,000. Rahual Phore, 25, and Virender Phore, 36, now face first-degree felony cargo-theft charges. Officers intercepted the suspects at a business located in the 5000 block of Northwest I-10 Frontage Road. The recovered cargo was returned to its rightful owner. Investigators connected the pair and their 18-wheeler to an additional theft incident at the same location earlier in the month. The Sealy Police Department coordinated patrol officers, investigators and K-9 units on the case. The department secured the vehicle and trailer pending possible forfeiture proceedings. Authorities anticipate filing additional charges as the investigation progresses. Both defendants remain presumed innocent pending court proceedings.
