Texel Air Australasia will begin cargo charter services from Western Sydney International's new Cargo Precinct, which officially opens this month. The 24-hour facility will host multiple carriers, with Qantas Freight scheduled to commence operations on July 27. Menzies Aviation and dnata Cargo will also operate from the hub. Texel Air's Boeing 737-800BCF fleet will support domestic freight movements and provide international charter capacity. WSI chief executive Simon Hickey said the carrier strengthens the precinct's competitive position. Texel Air founder John Chisholm noted that the facility enables consistent round-the-clock operations and allows the company to respond quickly to customer demand, time-critical shipments, and regular freight flows. The infrastructure offers Sydney-based charter and scheduled services greater operational efficiency than legacy airport facilities.
