Three men face federal charges following an armed robbery of a delivery truck outside an Apple store at Americana Manhasset mall on Long Island, New York. Alan Christhofer Cedeno-Ferrer, Michael Mejia-Nunez and Ennait Alexis Sirett-Padilla were charged May 7 with Hobbs Act robbery, conspiracy and interstate transportation of stolen property. According to authorities, the defendants approached the parked truck at approximately 8 a.m. while two workers prepared to deliver merchandise to the store. Armed with handguns, the men forced one worker into the truck bed and zip-tied his hands, then ordered the driver to operate the vehicle. The truck contained more than $1.2 million in Apple products including MacBook computers, iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches. The defendants directed the driver to a secluded area behind an office building on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset, where they zip-tied both victims.
