Three logistics providers announced acquisitions this week targeting trucking capacity and cross-border operations. AmeriLux Transportation & Logistics, based in De Pere, Wisconsin, acquired Green Bay-based Dedicated Systems Inc., a carrier specializing in flatbed and oversized freight hauling since its 1991 founding. According to FMCSA records, Dedicated Systems operates 68 power units and employs 70 drivers, with 6 million miles logged in 2025. AmeriLux plans to relocate transportation offices to Dedicated Systems' former Green Bay headquarters. The company also partnered with Airoldi Brothers, Wisconsin's largest independent truck leasing company, to relocate maintenance operations. In Canada, Montreal-based ANDY Corp. acquired majority assets of Quebec carrier Transport Express Frontières, absorbing its driver workforce to expand its North American transportation network. The deals reflect an industry-wide strategic shift toward capability-building acquisitions rather than organic expansion.
