Tommy John has centralized its domestic fulfillment operations with a single provider after years of managing multiple partners created operational friction. The apparel brand selected a fulfillment service provider operating 18 distribution centers across the U.S., designating Terrell, Texas as its central hub. CFO Gernot Senke cited persistent visibility gaps as the primary driver. Managing inventory across multiple providers forced the company to work from incomplete data while reconciling information and addressing accuracy issues. The challenges intensified during high-volume periods and customer service scenarios. The consolidated model provides geographic reach, clean data streams and faster delivery capabilities. Senke emphasized the need for a single partner to "own the full picture" of operations. The transition proceeded without disrupting existing business operations.
