Toyota Motor North America is reorganizing its supply chain and manufacturing leadership effective July 13, expanding roles for two key executives. Kevin Austin, group VP of supply chain, will assume additional quality oversight while maintaining leadership of network strategy and operations, reporting to Chris Nielsen, EVP of supply chain and chief quality and supply chain officer. Kensuke Morita, group VP of vehicle supply chain, will take on technology transformation, demand and supply management, plus strategy and project planning responsibilities. Manufacturing leadership changes include Stephen Brennan, SVP of Region 1 manufacturing operations, who moves to Toyota Motor Corp. as chief production leader of the advanced technology area overseeing the Advanced Production Engineering Division, Mobility Tooling Division and Logistics and Information Production Engineering Division. Susann Kazunas, group VP and executive engineering officer, also receives expanded responsibilities. The executive changes involve manufacturing regions in Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas and Guanajuato, Mexico.
