Transfix embedded E3 Group's driver identity verification technology directly into its transportation management system. Freight brokers can now screen drivers for fraud without switching between platforms. The tool verifies commercial driver's licenses, truck information and carrier records while analyzing device location and contact data before loads are picked up. E3's system examines more than 50 signals including biometric matching and liveness detection to confirm driver identity. Brokers see verification results in their shipment workflow and maintain records with each load. The integration responds to rising deceptive pickup schemes, where criminals use fake identities and forged credentials to obtain loads. Cargo theft incidents totaled 574 in the first quarter of 2026, with deceptive pickup incidents climbing 31% year-over-year. The move follows Transfix's June integration of carrier verification technology and similar moves by competitors including AscendTMS.
