Bluffworks has transitioned its order fulfillment operations to Cart.com, seeking to lower distribution expenses. The move aims to resolve invoicing discrepancies that plagued its previous provider relationship.

The travel apparel brand's leadership cited service reliability as a key factor in the decision. This reflects broader industry trends as e-commerce retailers reassess fulfillment partnerships to optimize margins and operational efficiency.

Other apparel manufacturers are also investing in supply chain improvements. Cutter & Buck, for example, recently opened an automated distribution center in Grand Prairie, Texas. The facility features over 50,000 storage bins and can process more than 1,200 bins hourly, underscoring the sector's focus on scaling infrastructure to meet demand.

Fulfillment remains a critical cost center for direct-to-consumer brands. They navigate inflationary pressures while managing customer expectations around delivery speed and accuracy.
