Federal Reserve officials pushed back against concerns over rising Treasury yields Wednesday. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari said bond markets continue functioning as designed despite recent volatility, and the surge in long-term rates is unlikely to influence upcoming monetary policy decisions.

The Treasury selloff has begun raising borrowing costs across the economy, creating headwinds for businesses dependent on debt financing. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh is expected to address inflation concerns and the central bank's policy direction at Jackson Hole this week, with markets closely monitoring his remarks for clarity on future rate decisions.

Meanwhile, flatbed spot rates fell to $2.72 per mile last week, down 2.4% from the previous week. Despite the pullback, rates remain substantially above year-ago levels.
