Trimble rolled out a new transportation management system designed specifically for shippers, marking the latest major product expansion from the company's 2022 acquisition of European logistics platform Transporeon. The offering follows Trimble's launch last year of a freight marketplace for shippers, both stemming from capabilities gained in the nearly $2 billion Transporeon deal. The new TMS for Shippers combines features from Trimble's carrier-focused systems with Transporeon's shipper expertise, integrating tools such as CoPilot and PC*Miler route planning. Rather than requiring customers to adopt a complete platform, Trimble is offering modular capabilities that shippers can select and implement incrementally alongside existing systems. The approach enables integration with Trimble's broader carrier network, connecting shipper and carrier operations.
