Trump Accounts App Goes Live Ahead of July 4 Funding Launch

The Treasury Department released the Trump Accounts mobile application Thursday, enabling families to begin account setup for the new tax-deferred investment vehicles launching July 4. Parents and guardians can open accounts for children under 18 with a Social Security number by completing IRS Form 4547 through TrumpAccounts. Funding will begin in July, with eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 receiving $1,000 seed deposits from the Treasury. The app, developed with Bank of New York Mellon and Robinhood, is available on Apple and Google platforms. Sign-up requires email verification, phone confirmation, and password creation. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the platform will "make it easy for millions of Americans to sign up, contribute and watch their investments grow in value." Nearly 6 million children have already been enrolled in Trump Accounts ahead of the official funding date.
