Turkish Cargo has secured recertification from IATA for its Center of Excellence for Independent Validators programs covering pharmaceuticals, perishable goods and live animals through 2029. The carrier first achieved IATA CEIV Pharma status in 2016 and became the first airline to simultaneously hold all three certifications in 2020. Turkish Cargo operates its TK Pharma network across more than 200 stations with 69 dedicated high-quality pharma facilities. Its perishable cargo division, TK Fresh, serves more than 250 origin and destination points globally. The carrier's SMARTIST facility at Istanbul Airport features temperature-controlled zones and robotic automation for sensitive shipments. Turkish Cargo plans to expand annual terminal capacity to 4.5 million tonnes by 2028 and launch a dedicated e-commerce facility this year.
