Uber Freight is repositioning its managed transportation services to emphasize continuous network monitoring and automated decision-making. The company said customers increasingly expect partners to identify operational improvements and execute strategic changes, moving beyond basic cost and reliability benchmarks. Uber Freight plans to leverage its scale to analyze network performance data in real time and recommend enhancements that individual shippers cannot achieve independently. The company's approach involves three core components: automating routine execution tasks, converting operational data into actionable recommendations, and progressively automating the decisions that drive results. As execution becomes more automated, the company aims to free expert resources for strategic advisory work and implementing larger network changes. This feedback loop, the company said, will strengthen recommendations over time and identify improvements applicable across its customer base.
