Uganda Airlines has signed a 10-aircraft agreement with Boeing, marking the carrier's entry into cargo operations. The deal, signed June 10, includes a converted 767 freighter and a converted 737 freighter alongside eight passenger jets. The East African carrier currently operates four Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft, one Boeing 737-800, and two Airbus A330-800 planes. Four passenger aircraft will arrive initially, with the remaining six following later. The fleet modernization aims to strengthen Uganda's regional and international connectivity while bolstering trade and tourism. The agreement positions Uganda as a regional aviation hub, according to State House Uganda.
