United Parcel Service has completed an $80 million expansion of its air hub at Clark International Airport in the Philippines, increasing capacity to handle 46,000 parcels daily with peak processing reaching 15,000 pieces per hour. The facility, now 15 times larger than its predecessor, enables delivery acceleration of up to two days across Asia-Pacific markets and improved connectivity to Europe and North America. The modernized 323,000-square-foot hub includes specialized handling zones for temperature-sensitive healthcare, high-tech and manufacturing shipments. UPS now operates 170 weekly flight segments from Clark, connecting major Asia-Pacific cities, India, Europe and the U.S. The Department of Transportation approved transferring six UPS flying rights between Hong Kong and Warsaw, Poland, and between Hanoi, Vietnam, and Clark to support increased trade flows. Service improvements include one-business-day delivery for major routes. The expansion created nearly 600 jobs at the facility, which UPS has operated since 2002.
