UPS is rolling out time-definite heavy airfreight service to and from Mexico beginning in August, marking the first expansion of its North American Air Freight capabilities southward. The carrier will offer one, two and three-day service options designed to move high-value, time-sensitive components across the US-Mexico border with improved speed and predictability. The initiative targets manufacturers requiring production-critical logistics support. UPS aims to reduce border delays and enhance supply chain visibility from origin to destination. The expansion integrates transportation, brokerage and warehousing into a unified offering to minimize operational handoffs. The company has assembled a dedicated team exceeding 300 subject matter experts in automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors, supported by thousands of employees across its network. Matt Guffey, UPS chief commercial and strategy officer, said: "Our automotive and industrial customers want an easy button for logistics. They need reliability, visibility and a partner that understands their supply chains – end to end, today and tomorrow. We have made strategic investments to build the team and the network that meets their needs unlike any other in the industry."
