Volvo Autonomous Solutions and AVI-SPL have launched commercial driverless freight operations on the Dallas-Houston corridor. The partnership deploys Volvo VNL Autonomous vehicles equipped with Aurora Driver technology to transport audio-visual electronics and recycled components between the two Texas cities.

AVI-SPL is leveraging the autonomous fleet to move time-sensitive, high-value shipments. The company addresses industry challenges including driver availability and capacity constraints through this deployment. Volvo's end-to-end system provides fleet management, infrastructure support, and operational oversight.

The collaboration aims to enhance supply chain reliability, reduce transit times, and improve asset utilization as operations scale. Autonomous transportation can strengthen logistics networks while managing complex cargo requirements.
