Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks are bundling maintenance and powertrain repairs into fixed monthly subscription contracts, offering fleets predictable cost structures for vehicle upkeep. The Silver Service Contract model consolidates preventive maintenance and major component repairs under a single payment arrangement, removing uncertainty from truck ownership expenses. The industry is shifting toward subscription-based fleet management. Meanwhile, the market continues consolidating as operators seek operational efficiencies. XPO Logistics expanded its North American footprint to 300 terminals with new service centers in Phoenix and Kansas City, strengthening its less-than-truckload positioning. Third-party logistics providers are also consolidating capabilities. TA Services acquired two Texas-based operations to enhance cross-border transportation services. These moves indicate carriers and logistics providers are prioritizing network density and predictable cost management amid tightening margins.
