Women in Rail Conference Returns to Chicago in October

The fourth annual Women in Rail Conference will convene October 6-7 at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg near Chicago. Registration is now open with early bird pricing available through August 28. The two-day event brings together female leaders and male allies shaping the freight, passenger and transit rail sectors. Keynote speakers include Maryclare Kenney of CSX and Pam Arpin of CPKC. Programming covers building resilient careers despite industry disruption, launching independent businesses or consultancies, and balancing efficiency with sustainability in rail projects. A breakout session titled "Leadership's New Playbook" is scheduled. The conference features fireside chat panels, an awards luncheon and networking opportunities. Past attendees credited the event for providing inspiration and perspective on career advancement within the male-dominated rail industry.
