Top-ranked FIFA nations are experiencing significant surges in air cargo imports ahead of the World Cup tournament now underway in North America. Argentina, defending champions from the last competition, recorded a striking 254% year-on-year jump in fashion e-commerce shipments. France posted an 11% rise in fashion imports. The UK saw a 19% increase, driven by England and Scotland participation. Brazil logged a 17% gain and Belgium recorded a 35% uptick. Germany reported a 19% increase in fashion imports. Spain also saw an 18% rise in fashion e-commerce items. Beyond apparel, perishables imports are also climbing. Spain, ranked second in FIFA rankings, posted an 18% year-on-year food increase. Portugal achieved 14% growth in perishables while Morocco recorded 20%. The Netherlands reported a 20% surge in raw materials and resources imports.
