The LA Board of Harbor Commissioners approved a 30-year lease extension for Yusen Terminals through 2056. The Singapore-based Ocean Network Express subsidiary will invest $200 million in zero-emission cargo-handling equipment as part of the agreement. Yusen has maintained operations at the port since 1991 across 232 acres spanning Berths 212-224, handling 5 million TEUs annually and ranking fifth among six terminals. The company currently operates electric top handlers, forklifts and hydrogen fuel-cell yard tractors. Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka praised Yusen's rapid adoption of clean air technology. The terminal handles vessels from ONE, Hapag-Lloyd and Hyundai Merchant Marine.
