A Miami federal judge has dismissed President Donald Trump's $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal and media mogul Rupert Murdoch. District Judge Darrin Gayles ruled the plaintiff failed to demonstrate the defendants made defamatory statements with actual malice as required by law. The case was thrown out with prejudice on Saturday, preventing any refiling. The suit challenged Journal reporting from last year describing a sexually suggestive letter and drawing bearing Trump's name included in a 2003 album compiled for Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday. The dismissal represents a setback for the administration's contentious relationship with news organizations during Trump's second term. The president remains embroiled in separate litigation with the BBC, Associated Press, CNN, MSNBC and Politico following media outlet bans from the White House in mid-September.
