Mexico Nabs Suspected Drug Logistics Coordinator Linked to Pacific Northwest Network

Mexican authorities arrested a suspected cartel logistics operator accused of directing fentanyl and synthetic drug shipments to Seattle and Tacoma. Ángel Guerrero Carrillo, known as "El Canguro," was detained Sunday in Zapopan, Jalisco, following a joint investigation between Mexican and U.S. officials. Authorities identified him as working for a faction of the Beltrán Leyva Organization headed by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores. Mexican officials said Guerrero Carrillo coordinated transportation, distribution and sales of fentanyl and other synthetics in Washington state. During the operation, officers seized a firearm, ammunition, methamphetamine, 15 fentanyl pills and cash. Federal records indicate that Chapo Isidro's organization has maintained distribution ties to Washington for over a decade and previously used commercial transportation networks to move narcotics. Mexican authorities have not disclosed specific smuggling routes or border crossings involved in the operation.
