Two Arrested in Arizona Cabotage Investigation at Truck Driving School

Federal authorities arrested two Mexican nationals and seized a tractor-trailer and multiple firearms during a search warrant execution at a truck driving school in Nogales, Arizona. The operation targeted suspected illegal hiring practices and cabotage violations.

Homeland Security Investigations Arizona announced the arrests Monday. Agents executed the warrant in August at the facility. Investigators suspect links to foreign carriers illegally transporting goods between domestic locations.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed foreign drivers holding B-1 nonimmigrant visas may transport cargo in international commerce only.
