A consortium including Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek and BlackRock-managed funds has agreed to invest $1 billion in Adani Enterprises' airport division. The transaction values Adani Airport Holdings at approximately $18 billion pre-money. Shares of Adani Enterprises climbed nearly 5% following the announcement. The investor group will acquire roughly 5.54% of the airport operator across three tranches, with completion targeted for July 2027. The deal remains subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. Proceeds will finance airport expansion, modernization efforts and development of Adani Airport City projects alongside non-aeronautical business lines including ground handling services. The company pursues its stated objective to develop the world's largest airports platform, leveraging India's infrastructure growth and rising consumer spending. The transaction follows a 150 billion rupee qualified institutional placement completed in July.
