Marine fuel prices continue to pressure vessel operators globally despite improvements in supply availability following disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. Singapore's very-low-sulphur fuel oil was assessed at $908 per metric ton this week, while marine gasoil reached $1,448 per ton. Rotterdam VLSFO traded at $731 per ton, compared with $804 in Houston and $1,005 in Fujairah. The premium at the Middle East's principal bunker hub reflects ongoing supply-chain constraints. Bunkering activity at Fujairah has recovered to only 40% of prewar levels. Singapore VLSFO has climbed from $433, representing a 60% increase above pre-conflict levels. While industry executives report the acute shortage seen in March and April has eased, the market has shifted from an availability crisis to sustained price volatility. Approximately 10 to 15 commodity vessels daily continue using alternative Omani corridor routes.
