Cargojet Adds Midweek Liège Service to Expand European Capacity

Canadian freighter operator Cargojet will launch an additional weekly service to Liège, Belgium, beginning September 23. The new Wednesday flight strengthens transatlantic capacity and complements an existing weekend service on the route. The airline will utilize a Boeing 767 freighter operating the Hamilton–Halifax–Liège–Hamilton circuit. The expansion reflects growing customer demand across Central and Western Europe for reliable midweek capacity alongside weekend options. Cargojet entered scheduled European service last year with its Liège connection, transitioning from charter-only European operations. The carrier said the addition advances its One Network strategy, which integrates domestic overnight operations with international services to deliver expanded geographic reach and customer flexibility. Second-quarter results showed Cargojet benefited from higher fuel surcharges, contractual rate increases and new charter opportunities. The airline operates a fleet of 16 Boeing 757 freighters and 25 Boeing 767 freighters, predominantly passenger-to-freighter conversions.
