Double Nickel, a New York-based logistics firm, has released Vera, a verification tool designed to streamline employment checks for trucking companies. During a 30-day beta test with two carriers operating more than 500 trucks combined, Vera completed approximately 100 verifications out of 250 attempted. This achieved a 40% autonomous completion rate. Verifications processed through Vera averaged one day compared to four days using manual methods. The tool identifies employer contacts, submits verification requests and manages follow-up communications via phone and email. Call recording and transcription are documented automatically. Vera charges $7 per completed verification with payment only upon successful completion. When unable to complete verifications independently, the tool helps carriers document contact attempts. Vera is now available to all Double Nickel customers and addresses federal motor carrier employment verification requirements.
