Five manufacturers are committing more than $1.6 billion to new and expanded U.S. production facilities, signaling sustained confidence in domestic manufacturing. The projects span Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Kentucky and Arkansas, creating 5,625 planned jobs across commercial trailer production, school bus manufacturing, commercial cooling systems and beverage bottling operations.
Hyundai Translead is raising its Will County, Illinois investment to $600 million from $450 million, increasing job commitments from 2,500 to 3,750 positions. The additional $150 million will support a third production shift. Carrier Global is investing over $600 million in a Fort Worth, Texas advanced manufacturing center slated to open in 2027, generating 1,500 positions.
The expansion reflects growing customer demand and capacity needs as transportation recovers. For trucking and logistics providers, the facilities will generate increased inbound flows of raw materials and components alongside outbound shipments of finished goods.
