Florida Prosecutors Charge Two Women in Six-Year Child Confinement Case

Florida authorities have filed 22 charges against two women accused of confining four children inside a semi-truck sleeper cab for more than six years. Tamra Marshon Stewart, 37, of Jacksonville, and Keysha Monique Epps, 51, of Atlanta, face allegations including sexual battery, molestation, physical violence, and neglect. Epps worked as a commercial truck driver operating routes between Atlanta and Miami with regular stops throughout Florida. Investigators documented abuse occurring from January 2020 through April 2026. The four victims—two 5-year-olds, one 6-year-old, and one 9-year-old—shared a single bunk and endured severe deprivation. The children lacked adequate food, hygiene facilities, and medical care. Two children suffered untreated burns resulting in permanent scarring. Authorities reported the children used cups and paper bags as toilets. Prosecutors filed charges in Orange County.
