Highway claimed the No. 1 position on the 2027 FreightTech 25 list for the third straight year, matching Amazon's record run from 2019 to 2021. The Dallas-based company ranked alongside GenLogs at No. 2, underscoring freight fraud prevention's dominance in this year's innovation rankings. Highway's platform verifies carrier identity, operating authority, insurance and operational data while connecting brokers with certified capacity through its Trusted Freight Exchange. Artificial intelligence emerged as a major theme, with companies in AI orchestration and automation making the top 25 as first-time winners. Autonomous trucking gained ground with four companies selected, up from three in 2026. The FreightTech 25 was selected from a pool of 100 companies by an independent panel, with voting overseen by Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough.
