Maersk reported third-quarter revenues of $18.1 billion, up 27% year-on-year, as elevated container freight rates compensated for modest volume declines. Ocean Services generated $12.6 billion, representing a 37% increase from the prior year quarter and providing the largest revenue contribution across the Danish carrier's divisions. Average loaded freight rates climbed 46% to $3,287 per 40-foot equivalent unit. The company attributed volume softness of 0.37 million FEU to severe weather disruptions in Asia and the Strait of Hormuz. Chief Executive Vincent Clerc cited resilient global trade amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty. The strong performance prompted Maersk to revise its full-year outlook upward, joining rival Ocean Network Express in raising guidance.
