Truckload carrier Pamt Corp. reported a third-quarter net loss of $8.1 million, or 38 cents per share. Elevated driver recruitment expenses and diesel fuel costs continued to pressure margins across the sector.

Consolidated revenue climbed 8% year-over-year to $163 million, though gains excluding fuel surcharges grew just 2%. The company's truckload segment recorded flat revenue excluding fuel, with a 3% decline in average trucks offset by a 1.4% increase in revenue per truck weekly. Loaded miles per truck increased 4%.

The truckload unit marked its 12th consecutive quarter of operating losses, with an operating ratio excluding fuel deteriorating 240 basis points year-over-year. President Lance Stewart acknowledged that customer rate increases have failed to keep pace with cumulative cost pressures over the past four years.

The logistics segment reported $45 million in revenue, up 7% year-over-year.
