ShipStation Global Launches LTL Service, Expanding Beyond Parcel

ShipStation Global formally rolled out its less-than-truckload offering, marking the company's first major freight expansion following its merger of Auctane and WWEX Group. The platform now enables small and midsize shippers to manage parcel, LTL, and eventually truckload services within a single workflow. CEO Tom Madine emphasized that cheapest freight isn't always best, particularly when late shipments carry significant financial consequences—such as a customer whose engine shipments face multi-million-dollar delays if late. Customer feedback consistently identified the absence of additional transportation modes as the top requested improvement. The integration eliminates the need for shippers to switch systems when moving freight beyond parcel operations, allowing management of inbound inventory and outbound shipments in one place. ShipStation Global operates over 400 parcel carrier connections globally and maintains the largest multi-carrier shipping software position in North America. The company plans to add truckload, final mile, and ocean and forwarding capabilities after establishing its inland freight footprint. European SMB and middle-market segments represent the next growth opportunity.
