SolitAir Expands Central Asia Footprint with Uzbekistan Launch

Dubai-based carrier SolitAir has begun serving Uzbekistan, adding Tashkent International Airport and Navoiy International Airport to its growing network. The new routes from SolitAir's Dubai hub will focus on perishables traffic and complement existing Central Asian operations in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Air transport operators handled 57,200 tonnes of cargo in Uzbekistan during the first half of 2026, with the market handling more than 100,000 tonnes annually and positioning it as the region's leading air cargo market. Freight volumes are being driven by major infrastructure investments and shifting regional trade patterns. SolitAir now operates more than 60 destinations across 40-plus countries spanning Asia, Africa and Europe. The carrier operates seven Boeing 737-800 converted freighters with 20-tonne capacity each and aims to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft by end-2027. The move strengthens SolitAir's connectivity across the Global South and Europe.
