SONAR Unveils Custom Insights Platform for Shipper Data Analysis

SONAR has launched Custom Insights, a new capability within its Supply Chain Intelligence platform that helps shippers analyze their own transportation data in real time. Members of the SONAR Shipper Consortium contribute tendered volumes, carrier information, rates, and lane activity to receive benchmarking analysis against market conditions. The platform addresses three core functions: Network Health displays executive summaries of total spend and savings opportunities; Lane Opportunities classifies each route into four categories—High Risk, Savings Opportunity, Carrier-Dependent, or Efficiency Zone—based on pricing and market conditions; and Network Optimization provides carrier-level performance metrics including average rates and acceptance rates. SONAR is hosting a free live demonstration on October 1st at 2:30 PM ET to showcase how shippers can identify overpayment areas, service risks, and cost-saving opportunities through Custom Insights.
