The Asia-North America tradelane faces elevated ocean freight disruption risk through late November as carrier capacity tightens and booking availability deteriorates. Planned capacity reductions rather than demand surges are driving the constraint, with the demand-to-supply ratio forecast to reach 128% during week 47. Booking security risk is projected to climb to 71% by week 48, significantly above the historical average of 41%. This indicates shippers will struggle to secure preferred sailings. Service reliability remains problematic, with on-time performance at 27.3%. Delays exceeding eight days represent the most common outcome. The Asia-Europe tradelane also carries high disruption risk, while Europe-North America presents moderate risk. Shippers should prioritize carrier selection and secure bookings early to mitigate delivery delays.
