Trimble lowered its full-year recurring revenue growth outlook Wednesday after reporting third-quarter results that met expectations. Weakness in European freight markets drove the decision.

The Westminster, Colorado software firm posted third-quarter revenue of $967 million, up 7% annually, with adjusted earnings per share of 86 cents. Annual recurring revenue climbed 10% to $2.564 billion, though growth disappointed management targets.

The company cut its ARR growth forecast to approximately 10% from a prior range of 12% to 14%. Its transportation and logistics segment, which serves carriers, brokers and shippers, grew ARR just 5% in the quarter.

CEO Rob Painter attributed the reduction to sluggish European freight volumes and unfavorable spot pricing conditions. The Transporeon platform maintained strong customer retention near 100%, but lower shipment activity constrained expansion. Broader economic headwinds and elevated diesel costs also pressured performance.
