Afcom pursues fleet modernization with Boeing 777-8F freighter order

Indian cargo operator Afcom Holdings Limited has signed a letter of intent to acquire up to four Boeing 777-8 freighters, marking an expansion of its long-haul capabilities. The company operates Boeing 737-800Fs on domestic and international routes. Afcom chairman Deepak Parasuraman said the acquisition supports the carrier's growth strategy and ability to capture larger cargo opportunities across key trade corridors in ASEAN and Middle Eastern markets. The new aircraft will enhance the airline's flexibility for international operations and allow it to respond to shifting demand patterns. Afcom transports general cargo, perishables, pharmaceuticals, project cargo, dangerous goods and high-value shipments, offering standard, priority and courier service options.
