An Amazon Air freighter operated by 21 Air overran runway 30 at Miami International Airport on September 6 at approximately 14:00 local time, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava confirmed at least five deaths and five additional injuries. The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft operating Prime Air Flight 7598 struck multiple vehicles during the incident. The aircraft had departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Emergency responders deployed over 60 units to the scene, finding the aircraft engulfed in flames. The airport initially closed all runways and taxiways before reopening one runway by mid-afternoon, with flight operations expected to resume around 17:30. The Federal Aviation Administration announced an investigation into the accident.
