Federal Prosecutors Charge California Restaurant Operator in Cross-Border Drug Trafficking Probe

Kawal Preet Singh, 50, operated a Round Table Pizza restaurant in Dinuba, California. Federal agents discovered more than 40 pounds of methamphetamine at his residence and Hyundai Sonata, leading to his indictment on methamphetamine distribution and firearms charges. The investigation began in February 2025 when the FBI's Fresno office opened an organized crime inquiry linking suspects to narcotics trafficking, extortion and cargo theft. Authorities developed evidence suggesting hundreds of kilograms of cocaine entered from Mexico and transited through the U.S. toward Canada via a network of long-haul truckers. Searches of Singh's home and business in August uncovered a digital scale, three firearms and $11,800 in cash alongside the methamphetamine. Singh told investigators he was storing the drugs for a friend.
